    Notes:
This is a authentic Japanese traditionally made modern or gendaito katana. I got this blade bare from my Nihonto contact in Japan. I haver been polishing for almost 20 years now and have good contacts as they know I polish what most will not spend their money on to polish. Sometimes I win, sometimes it is a bust due to fatal flaws one can not see in the condition I get them. I got this rusted gendaito blade with medium light rust and 2mm broken off the tip of the kissaki. I am the second polisher and this one I did more than a foundation polish on as I was going to keep it for myself, but over the last 5 years I have gotten in over 60 blades to polish and I can not keep them all. This is the blade.. 20+ year old blade, signed Hizen No Kuni Tada-tsugu-saku, 72 cm or 28 3/8 inch nagasa or cutting edge, 1.5 cm sori, 3.1 cm wide at mune machi, 0.6 cm thickness at mune machi, sanbon-sugi wild hamon, itame hada, no flaws... This is a very well balanced blade, very sharp and as close to a art polish that I do these days. Modern Japanese fuchi and kashir, old iron tsuba from 1700's, hardrock maple tsuka and bass wood saya and brass habaki all made by me. Everyone that knows knows that getting a basic polish is minimum of 50 dollars and inch, a bare tsuke normally made from soft wood is 200, a saya 400, furniture 200, so add it up and know I make nothing on these blades it is break even at best; but I love the craft... All you have to do on this one is tsuka maki on the tsuka and it is not hard or expensive. If you buy this blade I will find you a pair of menuki from my private collection of furniture.
