  I bought this from a Brazilian friend that had a carving factory over there back in 1998.. I have had it in my mineral specimen cabinet until now. I am thinning down on my collection since my parents passed as we are thinking about relocating in the next year of 2 after our last child finishes high school. This piece is 7 inches tall and 3 inches wide at the base and wide side of the parrot. It is a nice carving that truly looks like a parrot :) Nice heavy piece...
