This unusual artisan piece is comprised from carved beads & bone links, which are strung on clear Strech cord to form a flexible bracelet. Measuring 8 inch. A beautiful piece, this bracelet has a very natural look that would make a lovely addition to any collection! Great for stacking!! Antique jewelry made from carved bone was very popular during the Victorian era (ca 1880). Bone is a hard material from the skeleton of most vertebrate species, but the variety mainly used in jewelry is from such animals as the wild boar or domestic animals. It was used to imitate ivory, which was more expensive.
