  This gem was re-cut by me to lessen the huge window it had. It still has an oval window which you can see; but to remove it would have made a very small sub carat gem. The gem was bought in a parcel of chrysoberyls bought from Sri Lanka in 2002.I think the body color and clarity was worth saving. I do not think it will completely close up when mounted but it will not be as unsightly as it was. No treatment in any way and it does have good color, clarity, and light return.
