  This gem was cut by me from 10.87 carat rough I got in 2001. I bought the run on this small discovery as it was so strange; under the chelsea filter it is blood red for high chromium; but this material also shows red on a different axis than the green. yes it is saturated green but it is just so unusual and rare I have yet to ever see any chromium bearing tourmaline that does this. No treatments. I tried to orient the red in the table and it is close as you can see in the photo; but the camera can not pick up the rich red it shows in real life.
