  These gems were cut by me from gems I bought in 1998 to re-cut. Out of over 400 gems I bought in 3 years leading up to the embargo us American cutters could never get access to Burma material. So the next best thing was to buy poorly cut gems that were of good size and clarity. When I got them I graded them as to single stones or matched pairs. Over this past Christmas I had the chance to bring them out of the vault and do some cutting. This is one of those pairs and the largest pair I will get out of all those gems. No heat or treatments. They are large enough to make matching rings or earrings; They are rich red but they are red and not black. Nice gems...
