  This gem was cut by me from a 5.13 carat piece of rough from Madagascar bought in 2002. No heat or any treatments. Rachelle is learning to photograph gems so that is why you see the difference in my way of photographing gems; she is using a Nikon P900 camera and I am using my old standby Nikon D70s with full macro lens. Our goal is to get the more realistic photo of the gem in subdued natural light and artificial light (fluorescent lighting) for our clients to judge; I warned her this was not an easy task as I have struggled many years trying to get honest photos of the gems and gratefully our clients say our gems are more lovely in person and that is my goal; so please bear with us both in this learning curve... My goal is for you the client to see what I see in real life, the good, the bad, or the ugly; as no one wants to waste money on shipping anything back.. Thank you.
