  This gem was cut by me from rough I got in Bangkok... This is the SECOND synthetic I have ever cut in my life.. But I had to cut this stuff when my faceting buddies were showing off this intense material they cut. So I ordered my piece of rough and started cutting some.. WOW WOW WOW !!! This stuff is intense; whether in the shade or in sunlight it is WOW !!! It has wonderful properties, 8.5 in hardness, 1.82 RI, 0.028 dispersion, etc. So it will hold up in a ring. It is called Yitrium-Aluminum Garnet, Czochraiski growth garnet, or YAG... But the neon kryptonite nuclear color is what trips my trigger.... I have to cut Rachelle a large one so these 2 were my test subjects for cutting and polish and believe me it is a dream compared to natural.. I will not confuse this gem for anything natural and that is for sure.. This will make one awesome ring gem.. Enjoy !!! As I will not cut any other synthetics but this material and that was just for fun !
