  After 30+ years of cutting gems this is my FIRST synthetic !!!! I do not do synthetics as I never wanted a mistake in my inventory of natural vs synthetic; but when I saw my cutting friends cut this material; I just had to try my hand at it !!! All I can say is WOW !!! Rachelle wants a big one; so I will cut her one also; but I had to see how the cutting and polishing did as I do not cut synthetics... To me this reminds me of Kryptonite or something nuclear ... Oh and how it glows in low light !! It is unreal.. This is what it is.. Synthetic Recrystallized Neon Yellow Garnet or YAG, Yitrium Aluminum Garnet Hardness 8.5 so good for a ring, RI 1.82, Dispersion 0.028.. So a very good all around wearing gem with tons of brilliance and that in your face look at me Glow !! I will have a larger one on the sale also in a barion brilliant emerald cut that is also stunning..
