  Well I had a bunch of this material I bought in 2000 as i cut a lot of cabs back then and stars and cats eyes were my favorites. I tried something different with this big one; I gave it a high dome and more of a flat crown to see if it made the star more dramatic. Well I think it worked well. The legs look more defined and it also helps make the star show up more in the direct sunlight and also helped to center the star in the middle of the stone. Well in any case it is a nice one and has had no treatments. It will make a stunning ring for a man or Lady.. I missed measured with my old calipers as I do not use my digital ones around water and thought it would finish a 12 x 10 but instead it is 12.8 x 10.4 but should fit a prong style mount but will need slightly tall prongs to make it more secure in the setting..
