  This gem was cut by me from the rough i got from the late Dave Cordry who was the financier of the Wessels Mine, Hotazel, Kalahari manganese field, Northern Cape, South Africa. I have the gel caps and all that awesome stuff but I decided to cut some of the lesser value material until I got the hang of how it cut on the new wheels. Dave was meticulous per his grading and would heat the material and put water on it to see if it had cracks etc... He sold me 6 different grades of the material. I was a friend of Dave who did Intarsia work with the material and when we met he had gotten ill and was in his late 80's. This is the dark purple material. No treatment in any way.
