  This gem was cut by me from a 8.97 carat piece of rough bought in 1998 from Murray Wilis in MaGill South Australia. It was not cheap then and since I do not buy opal any longer I have not a clue as to what this is bringing in the rough now. I do know all the opal I am listing has been cut for over 5 years and in the vault to make sure it does not craze... This is very solid stable crystal opal . No treatments. stark white base material. Priced at what I paid for it in 2000.
