  Notes:

  This gem was cut by me from a 7.88 carat piece of rough that was bought in 2012. This dark base material is not common as I went through thousands of carats of rough just to get a few that had the darker base. Most was water clear but I liked the peach base and the darker based material as the play of color just showed up more intense. None of these opals have had any treatment in any way. No crazing, no milking, etc. just good solid crystal opal...
