  This gem was re-cut by me from a lifeless step cut pavilion 2.10 carat gem I bought in a parcel in 2012. In that parcel was gems from 8 carats to 1.5 carats. All lovely gem but all had step cut pavilions and the dealer was having a hard time moving them. So I bought them for less that the clean rough would cost me for gems that large. I guess I was one of the first to do massive re-cuts on gem back in the late 1990's. To me it was just saving all this lovely material from being discarded and not being used as the material was great. I would just adjust the prongs and set it in a 7 mm mount. Basic low heat only
