  This I got from a Russian collector in 1991. He had so much stuff it was mind boggling... Sadly I could not afford much as I was much younger and much poorer... But it is a very fine specimen that you do not see often on the market. I bought it as a cutter but the longer I kept it the more I knew it was just lovely like it was. Even the best cutter sometimes is humbled by the master of creations ! No treatments. I would say it is a hexagonal Silicate of Aluminum and Chromium Beryllium; but the more scientific crowd can correct me if I am wrong which I can be at times ;)
