  This is a saturated boule but if you saw it down the middle it will lighten up considerably, that is usually why they split the boule. I got this back in 1990's along with all the other synthetics I have on the site. Bob Wilson owned a sapphire mine in Montana back then and sold rough and cut stones at the gem shows. He is the one that talked me into buying them. lol But he also carried extra-fine natural facet rough.
