  I bought this material back in 2000 from Murray Wilis in Magill South Australia. Back then there was no emails to speak of so it was snail mail of phone calls and out of country phone was insane in costs. But I was offered a kilo of this sight unseen and I had just gotten 2 kilos of the apple green with about a inch of mud on the seams and did not want that muddy mess anymore; but he assured me the mud was already cleaned and this was not normal chrysop[rase as he called it Imperial chrysoprase, so I said I will take a kilo, well it took the slow boat over 2 months to get it to me and when I saw it I immediately called him back for a nother kilo and he said " sorry mate, that material sold within a week after I ordered mine and he siad you are lucky you got what you did.. In any case I am keeping 2 pieces about the same size as this one as it cuts gems like liquid emerald green. I tested it and it does not show chromium like the mtorolite from Zimbabwe but it really looks very chrome like that mineral.. This will cut a lot of very lovely and rare gem chrysoprase cabochons.
