  This piece was bought by me in Franklin NC back in 1998 at the wholesale gem show. I met a Brazilian man there and as always my quest was for the best clean big facet rough I could find. I search through hundreds of pounds before I found this lovely piece. Silver rutile needles widely spaced throughout the piece for easy cutting to not have any reach the crown when cutting. I cut several 200+ carat gems in my past and just do not do the monsters anymore, but it was fun and nice to have the accomplishment. I can see taking this piece to the saw and cutting off the 2 ends and have a 350 carat piece to do a fancy brilliant on...
