  This is just one of those truly unusual and lovely pieces of gem tourmaline facet rough. It will be interesting on how one chooses to cut this as there are several options. I have cut several like this, one is on the website that I cut over 25 years ago as a test cut. It was nothing as nice as this one and not as clean or as large. One could facet it with open culet like a picture frame with facets around the perimeter top and bottom highlighting the rare intense pink red core, or one could do a classic emerald cut, or one can choose to make it into a polished slice or cabochon, many options and all will produce a very rare and unique gem.. No treatments.
