  I bought a kilo of this material in 2000. I cut many and sent many to Sri Lanka to have them cut into brilliant cuts. I pulled out 50 stones like these to keep in case I needed to cut some of this material. Untreated in any way and they are all blocky pieces that will cut over a carat fine gems. average ct. weight per piece is around 7 carats... Very clean and just the shape for brilliant cuts.
