  This is some material I bought in 2001. It came out when the big orange spessartites did but this was red, red material. I bought a lot of this material but sadly the large stones were clean and red but make a very saturated red gem when cut over 4 carats. this gem is pushing the limit on size to still retain the vibrant red with flashes of red from the cut. It is sad to have to cut 40 carat clean gem rough in half or fourths to get them to have any life at all. I never see this material offered any longer. So if you love red and want big without costing a fortune this is surely a good alternative. No treatments.
