  I bought this gem from my contact in Sri Lanka in 2020. It was a 10.3 carat cut gem with a large inclusion in the culet area. But IT was BIG !!! Well I removed 90% of the inclusion and the culet is a little offset from the rest of the gem but when set it will not be noticeable... It has an RI of 1.735 which is the grossularite family of garnet. I checked on prices of comparable gems this color, clarity, and type and the price is CRAZY like 200 a carat crazy ... In any case I just know what I paid, how much time it took to re-cut it and let it move on to a good home. I just loved the color as they in Sri Lanka call it imperial garnet... No treatments... I have a few more, maybe not this big but close but I have not re-cut them yet as they all had issues, maybe that is why I got them as inexpensive as I did, they were tired of looking at them in their showcase ??? ** WATCH VIDEO **
