  This gem was cut by me from a 6.33 carat piece of rough bought in 2000. This gem when under 4 carats is an awesome red gem that is really fine and has good light return. I made the mistake back then of buying large clean rough and sadly when cut into brilliant cuts over 4 carats they go black... So now I just cut the rough into pieces that will yield a 3 carat and under gem; as they are awesome in those sizes... No treatments. 9 x 7 oval mount
