  This gem was cut by me from a 6.21 carat piece of alluvial rough bought from Tanzania in 2014. You never know what color these lovely gems will produce in the rough. When I saw it after taking it off the dop it reminded me as a kid the fire trucks in our town. That bright red with a hint of orange.. In any case the RI is 1.762 and there has been no treatment in any way. It will make a very fine piece of jewelry. The price on this rough in these sizes have gone CRAZY in the last year...
