  This gem was cut by me from section of a 31.7 carat crystal bought in 2000. This gem has had no treatment... I bought what I could afford from a Russian mineral specimen dealer for about 4 years before he was sent back to Russia. This was cut from the top section of an included mineral specimen... I made up the design as I went along to save material. When it was finished and I viewed it; it was interesting how the angles and design created what looked like snow flakes around the perimeter of the gem... The design really was to dodge some inclusions in the gem and keeping the inclusions away from the girdle to add strength to the gem when set.. It really turned out neat ..
