Notes:
This gem was cut by me from a 6.81 carat piece of rough bought in 2010. I kept this gem as a reminder to not send my stones to AGL anymore... I sent 8 color change stones to AGL 2 years ago and they sent them all back as brown ?? They were ALL color change from pink to green and more dramatic than this one. I called them and asked why they did not list them as the color change they were and they said they NEVER give a light colored sapphire a color change report ?? I said really; I have one here from you from 2013 you did and they said I was mistaken and wanted me to send the gems back along with this one and the report to prove i was not lying to them. Well after doing as they asked; they sent all my sapphires back with NO reports along with this one.. Needless to say; when a lab lies to me and I prove them wrong; they did not want my business and I would not trust them any longer. So the short story is; I send all my gems to GIA now as I am an alumnus of GIA and have been since the late 1990's but everyone one wanted AGL on the colored gems But GIA has never lied to me.. But in any case; I kept this gem as proof and no longer need the proof of them changing their rules on color change gems... Nice size and will make a lovely mood ring :) This may be rare as AGL no longer gives color change on medium to lightly saturated sapphires; or so they say ??? LOL
