  This gem was re-cut by me from a 4.87 carat horribly cut gem sapphire I got this past spring 2019 from Tanzania. I was just going to re-cut the pavilion but it had cutting and polish issues all over the place so I just treated like a piece of rough. the colors in these parcels have been unreal and they shift all over the place. I have no idea what heating would have done; but with micro bubble it would not have been pretty i am sure of that. So they are what they are and to me they are unique and one of kind gems. This will make a very fine ring or pendant... You could make a 9x7 four prong mount work but you would have to move the prongs some to make it symmetrical... This is NOT a dead gem it has life inside and not too saturated. Bargain for what it is !
