  These gems were cut by me from gems I bought to re-cut back in 1998. I bought very heavy from Burma right before the embargo, especially spinel as us cutters could never get any rough from that location. When I went through these parcels I pulled gems and set them aside that could make matched pairs as many like these took a total re-cut. These are a lovely saturated purple with grey tints, not black at all but a rich purple grey. They are matched in cut and color and size and I really tried hard to keep the measurements exact in case someone wanted them for side stones in a ring. Nothing worse for a stone setter than to have one shallow and one deep. No treatments with these gems. And everything is fully tested, RI, SG, etc.
