  This gem was re-cut by me but it was so very shallow I could not remove the window without making it a .30 pt. gem... It has a lovely red-pink color but sometimes you can only do so much. The gem was originally 1.47 carats and I bought it in 1998 along with hundreds of it's sisters and brothers; most I could re-cut and remove chips, windows, etc. but this one did not cooperate to well. Still clean and would look lovely in white or yellow metal as the color is very nice; just not much light return; reminds me of the older rubies and how they were cut to save size and weight. No treatments.
