  This gem was re-cut by me to lessen the window; it was a 1.21 carat gem when I bought it in 1998. The color is very fine red and I knew it was close to going under 1 carat so I stopped cutting and luckily it remained over a carat... Very nice old stock red spinel from Burma bought before the embargo !!! No treatments and it will make a stunning ring or pendant.
