  This material I have worked with ever since I started and you just can not get light into the gem unless you create a window effect... The dark C axis material is a beast to work with. This gem was cut by me and it was cut from a 8.73 terminated crystal almost identical as the cut gem. Looking at this material from the side is awesome and you think wow what a gem this will make !! lol It has lovely color when you put a light behind it or have it in perfect light so the light can reflect in it. Therefore the cheap price as it is a clean gem and the colors are rich. If a person wanted a ring made from this and they like dark gems it would be the ticket as sometimes it shows it's true colors and is lovely; but most of the time she will be dark ! It is what it is... LOL I thought I could work miracles when I first started but gem minerals like this will truly humble you. I cut this gem in 2001 and it has been in the case ever since.. The hand shot is what it looks like with perfect lighting conditions... No treatments.
